This 2017 black-and-white photograph of the Hypo Tower in Munich, captured in the tranquil stillness of early morning, reveals the structure’s futuristic geometry and monumental presence.
Utilising a Big Stopper and Circular Polariser (CLP), I achieved a long exposure that streaked the sky into a dramatic backdrop while preserving the building’s intricate textures. Framing the entire structure without excessive distortion proved challenging.
Still, with a careful compromise in camera angle, the resulting image highlights the tower’s soaring symmetry and the interplay of sunlight and shadow across its façade—a study in minimalism, contrast, and architectural power.
