About Me
Hello and welcome! I’m Chris Renk, a freelance photographer based in Munich, Germany. My photography journey began in 1990 during my service with the German Armed Forces. However, visiting an Ansel Adams exhibition truly ignited my passion for photography as an art form. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in various genres of photography, including portrait and wedding photography. Yet, my heart beats strongest for landscape and nature photography. Each day, I’m inspired by the beauty of our planet and its inhabitants—humankind, fauna, flora, and wildlife. Through my lens, I strive to capture and share the emotions and impressions that these subjects evoke. For me, a successful image isn’t solely defined by technical perfection but by the emotion and impression it conveys. Beyond photography, I serve as the organiser of the German Chapter of the Royal Photographic Society (RPS), where I collaborate with fellow photography enthusiasts to promote and celebrate the art of photography. Join me as we explore the wonders of our world through the lens, capturing moments that tell compelling stories and evoke deep emotions.
