Eilean Donan Castle, one of Scotland’s most iconic landmarks, rests quietly where three great sea lochs meet. On this rare April day, the usual bustle of visitors was absent, granting me the luxury to explore the scene and carefully compose the shot.
Using a 10-stop Neutral Density filter and a circular polariser, I smoothed the sea and eliminated reflections, allowing the castle to stand in serene isolation, mirrored in stillness. The resulting image captures not only the historical weight of the place but also a personal moment of connection between landscape, light, and quiet discovery
